It's officially Fall! You know what that means? The school year is in full swing and some of our favorite fall activities, fundraising activities, and enrichment programs are on the horizon! We also want to say thank you for all the support and participation in our PTO initiatives, including the Back to School Picnic, Read-a-Thon, Halloween Costume Exchange, Dine Out For Lincoln, and so much more! Every time you engage in these events, our community, teachers, and families are greatly benefited! Last, but not least, thePTO 2024/25 Budget is now available on our PTO website.

| 📚Fall Book Fair | Oct. 21-25 The fall book fair with Anderson's Bookshop will take place in the Lincoln Library the week of October 21, 2024! - When: Week of October 21, 2024 - Shopping hours will be available after school and during family-teacher conferences. Students will have the chance to browse for books during their classroom library time. More details forthcoming!

This program is designed to foster a strong sense of community and connection within Lincoln and the PTO. Check out the website to see our guide and learn more. What the PTO Room Coordinator(s) does: - Build Community: Foster a sense of belonging in each classroom by arranging meetups, offering PTO support, and welcoming new families.
- Serve as PTO Liaison: Share important PTO updates with the class and help recruit volunteers.
- Support the Teacher: Assist with classroom needs, including coordinating appreciation gifts, snacks, and celebrations.

| 🌎World Language Program The Lincoln World Language Program introduces all students to new languages! We are extending our enrollment until Thursday, October 10th. Sign up now! - Languages Offered: French, Spanish, and Japanese, accessible to all students. Unfortunately, Chinese will no longer be offered due to low enrollment.
- Class Schedule: Held once a week during lunch and recess, taught by experienced language instructors.
- Program Goals
- Promote global awareness and cultural appreciation.
- Encourage a positive attitude toward language learning.
- Develop conversational skills through engaging, contextual activities.
- Activities: Games, songs, role-playing, Q&A, commands, storytelling, worksheets, videos, and crafts.
- Fees: Program fees are charged, with financial aid options available for qualifying families.
- If your student is unsure about committing to all 20 sessions, we offer a "bring a friend coupon." This allows enrolled students to bring a friend to try 3 consecutive sessions. Afterward, they can choose to enroll for the full program

| 👟Calling Parents of 4th & 5th Grade Boys! Join Us as an Assistant Coach for Let Me Run! No running experience required! Program has started, but there's still time to join! We're looking for parent assistant coaches for Lincoln's 4th and 5th grade boys running club.
Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays after school, starting mid-September. Each 1.5-hour session includes exercises, a practice run, and activities to build confidence and respect. The program wraps up with a local 5K race. Commitment: Attend practices once or twice a week. The number of spots for boys depends on coach availability. Interested? | 👟Trekkers Fitness Program - Volunteers Needed! Trekkers Fitness Program: Join us every Thursday for Trekkers, Lincoln's PTO-sponsored fitness program! This active program is designed for students in grades 1-5 and takes place during the lunch recess. Students will enjoy walking or running laps around the field, earning exciting incentives along the way.
Volunteers Needed: To ensure a smooth experience and the safety of our students, we're calling on volunteers to assist with the program. Volunteer duties include distributing lap cards, counting laps, overseeing the route, and encouraging the kids. Your help is needed on Thursdays, 11:15 AM-12:20 PM.

| 🍭Save the Date | Our 75th Annual Carnival | Feb. 1 Lincoln's favorite Carnival is returning this winter on Saturday, February 1st, 2025.
What is the Carnival? The carnival is a 75-year-old tradition that many Lincoln Families and Faculty remember fondly. It is a day of fun for people of all ages with carnival games, prizes, food, balloons, face painting, laughter and memories that will last a lifetime. More details forthcoming.
Interested in Being a Volunteer? We are looking for a team of volunteers to help plan and execute this event and will be sending more information out about this soon!
