Lincoln's PTO is about working together to create a better educational experience for all of our children by creating an atmosphere where teachers and administrators can do their best work and students have what they need to succeed.
Our PTO relies on the support of our parents/guardians, teachers/staff, and administration. There are many ways to get involved throughout the year!
The most impactful way is to hold a role that helps shape the direction of the PTO. You can do this by serving a two-year term on the Executive Board. There are a variety of positions that require a diverse set of skills: communications, finance, project management, event planning, and more! We also need co-chairs to focus on a wide-range of projects, programs or events throughout the year. A chair might focus on spreading the word about PTO initiatives thru social media, oversee our family movie night, or coordinate our lunchtime running club. The time commitments and responsibilities vary widely for chair positions so we can find the right fit for you based on your availability and skill set. We do ask that a chair commit to seeing the project thru to completion each year, but you can serve in the position for as many (or as few) years as you'd like. It's ideal to have a parent and teacher serve as co-chairs together.
Finally, we always need volunteers to serve on committees to support the event/program chairs or help out on the day of an event. Committee opportunities can be viewed below. We post day-of opportunities in our newsletters as they become available.
We'd love as much or as little of a commitment as you can make. Positions are open to anyone in the Lincoln community including staff, teachers, parents & guardians.
