World Language Program Overview
The Lincoln PTO World LanguageProgram introduces all students, regardless of past language experience, to the basics of French, Spanish, Greek, Italian, or German -all taught by experienced language teachers. The program runs for 20 sessions, they take place during lunch and recess time, one day a week -with the exception of German, that will be 10 session.
Objectives of the program are to increase global awareness and foster an appreciation for other people and cultures, create a positive attitude towards language learning, and help students acquire language in context through meaningful day to day activities and in a compelling way while supporting them through their conversational skills.
Activities may include playing games, learning songs, play acting, asking and answering questions, following commands, listening to stories, worksheets, videos, coloring, and craft projects. Topics may include the following at all levels of instruction of any given group: alphabet, greetings, colors, months, days of the week, seasons, celebrations, ages, shapes, family, clothing, body parts, feelings, animals, furniture, daily activities, vacation and travel, activities within the community, dates and times. Note that these topics will be included in different unit lessons throughout the year and keep students as the center of the curriculum.
Fees are assessed to fund the program, but are reduced or waived for students whose households request financial aid.

Fee: $225.00
** $112.50 for 10 German sessions**
Payment in full is required on the regular form. If you are requesting a scholarship, please fill out the form and continue without payment or with partial payment (Click "Scholarship Form" > Fill Out Scholarship Form > Submit form without payment).
LANGUAGES BEING OFFERED THIS SCHOOL YEAR:

Classes require a minimum of 6 students to run, with a set maximum of 12 students.****
